State Farm® Insurance Agent Seth Yost

"Despite being with Seth Yost and State Farm insurance for 16 years, this is the end of my patronizing Seth and State Farm in general. I am extremely disappointed in them. Approximately six months ago, I made the mistake of adding my mother’s vehicle to my policy at Seth Yost, State Farm once she stopped driving due to age. She had been insured with the same agency for over 20 years. I was assured the policy was set up as my other policies were. My family and I always carry roadside insurance to cover towing and emergencies. I trusted the company to set up the policy in the usual manner per our phone conversation. This was my mistake I had the car towed to a mechanic six miles away for repairs. Weeks later, I received a call from Seth’s office saying I would not be covered for the towing since my policy had been put in place without roadside assistance. This was unlike all of the other cars I have insured with them. I was told that it was my fault for not going over the policy details that were mailed to me. I was never offered roadside assistance and was never asked if I wanted to decline the roadside assistance. In fact, it was never mentioned, They even pointed out that I had saved one dollar a month by not having the coverage for almost a year, I am now out $168 that I have to pay directly to the towing company. Seth Yost and his agency, though polite, have been completely inflexible about the matter. This, despite my patronizing this agency and it’s two prior incarnations under ownership by other State Farm agents. Having been with the company this long and to have them be so inflexible about their omission of a one dollar a month service that I have always utilized is beyond disappointing. This.has resulted in my having to say goodbye to State Farm if they can’t rectify the problem. The issue here is not the mere $168, it is the fact that my unwavering patronage for all these years has no value to them and keeping me as a customer also has no value to them. They have made me feel like a fool for having not gone over the small print with a fine tooth comb. They have shown me that any payout they can possibly avoid covering they will, even a matter as minor as this. I’m glad I have never had a major claim with them, it would have been a nightmare judging from this experience. Be forewarned by a long time customer of theirs, Seth Yost State Farm Insurance will fight you over even the smallest claim, go elsewhere."
